Start a call by sending a text message

Important! A valid Buzport account is required to make any call including calls initiated with a text message.
You simply send a text message to the Buzport SMS Center +447624803813.

There are 2 options with this feature.

Option 1. You’re sending the SMS from the same mobile phone you want to use for the call.

In this case you simply enter your destination number in the text, that’s it. The number should be sent as a string of digits without brackets or any other additional characters.

Format: [Destination Number]

Example: Your mobile number is +449993334444 and you want to call +15551112222 from your mobile.

SMS message: 15551112222

There is no need to enter your own number here as you are sending the text from your mobile.

Option 2. You want to use a different phone for the call, then the one you’re sending a text from.

With this option enter both your destination number and the number of the phone you’d like to use for the call. Numbers should be sent as string of digits without brackets or other unnecessary characters, just 2 numbers separated by an asterisk.

Format: [Destination Number]*[Own Number]

Example: Your mobile number is +449993334444 and you want to call +15551112222 from your landline which is +441112223333.

SMS message: 15551112222*441112223333

Here you have to enter the landline number too as it’s not the same phone you’re sending the text from.

IMPORTANT: Make sure to enter the numbers in the valid international format, excluding the initial zeroes.

For example:

UK number – 449993334444

US number – 15551112222

Kuwait number – 9659992223333

Indian number – 919993334444

What Happens Next?

Your own number would start ringing in about 15-30 seconds. Once you pick up, you would hear a voice say “connecting” and it immediately puts you through to the number you want to call.
